Thai massage was developed over 2500 years ago by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha who was the physician to the Buddha. The system includes acupressure with some yoga assisted postures. The treatment is generally carried out on a futon with the client wearing loose comfortable clothing. The receiver will be put into many yoga like postures while being put through a variety of different pressures on each muscle group.
